FIFA 11 Ultimate Team DLC Launching Next Week News

EA Sports' Ultimate Team feature for FIFA 11 will be released as free DLC on November 3rd, when it will allow PS3 and Xbox 360 owners to start acquiring packs of playing cards through the Ultimate Team mode and build their dream-team squad of football stars.

The feature, which launched in FIFA 09, is a separate mode for the game where players are awarded points for their performances in matches and tournaments (both on and offline) that they can then spend on card packs. These packs, which contain real-world footballers, can then be used to build a dream-team squad from scratch.

New features for FIFA 11 include the ability to organise Ultimate Team matches against other players on your friends list, as well as a web tool that allows users to keep up-to-date on card auctions and trades while away from their console.

The tool has already gone live for gamers who played Ultimate Team in either of the last two FIFA games (find out more here). EA has organised a bonus of two gold card packs and daily gifts for gamers who log-in to the web tool before November 3rd.
