CoD: Black Ops To Have Split-Screen Online Multiplayer News

Treyarch has announced that gamers will be able to play Call of Duty: Black Ops' online multiplayer game through a local 2 player split-screen option.

This announcement comes as part of a bunch of "little-known facts" about Black Ops' multiplayer that have been posted by Treyarch's Community Manager, Josh Olin over on the PlayStation blog.

Additional info includes a Custom Games Editor that allows users unprecedented levels of customisation in private matches, from score and time limits to the weapons and perks that are sanctioned in a match.

A Regional Matchmaking setting allows players to determine who they play against on a global scale, so you can specify local players only or select specific geographical regions to play against - this helps to make the game experience less lag intrusive.

In other Black Ops news, old-school gangster rapper-cum-movie megastar, Ice Cube has revealed via Twitter that he's lent his voice to a character called Corporal Bowman in the game's single-player campaign. Ice-T, an even more old-school West-Coast rapper, has previously confirmed that he's done voice-over work for the game.
