New figures released by Chart Track reveal that Sega’s popular football management sim has taken the top spot in its debut week. Well known for its addictive gameplay, we gave Football Manager 2011 a healthy 8/10 in our comprehensive review; despite lacking any particularly revolutionary new features compared to previous iterations of the game, it seems that fans just can’t get enough (it’s a sickness, people).
Activision’s attempt to exploit the Bond license appears to have fared rather less well, with James Bond 007: Blood Stone and Wii reimaging Goldeneye 007 launching at number 18 and 13 respectively.
In a footy one-two for the UK sales chart, FIFA 11 settles into the second slot for another week as Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is finally relegated out of the top ten into 14th place.
